I find that you can communicate a couple of values with your headshot. It is often the first chance a client has to be visually connected to you. Before your headshot session you need to be asking yourself what your strengths are and how you want to message those strengths. Are your clients looking for technical perfection and personality is second to that? Or are your ideal clients looking for a caring, compassionate person they can relate to and if they relate then they will trust you?

Part of my process is a pre-shoot consultation to best determine the message, the mood, and the over all look. We’ll discuss your ideal client and the kind of image that will help attract them. We will plan wardrobe and location or types of backgrounds and settings.
I know some people are fearful of being photographed because of any number of things. They think they look to fat, or to old, or to young, or they think they just don’t look good on camera. I say….get over it. It is my job to create the best photo you have ever seen of yourself. That is my superpower. Let’s focus on your superpower so your clients will see that.
